0Christ Embassy Highlights: “Your LoveWorld” Pray-A-Thon | Day 1 & 2
All sessions of this momentous Christ Embassy event were broadcasted live on all LoveWorld networks, both TV stations, and online platforms. This event alone gathered an audience from all over the world, as people logged in to take part in what God was doing through the fervent prayers of “Your LoveWorld” Pray-a-Thon.
DAY 1
SESSION 1 Wednesday 3, July 2019 at 5 pm GMT+1
The first session of this special event gave a great start to the following 2 days that were still to come. After wrapping up an entire month devoted to prayer, there were high expectations for these focused three-days and the faith-strengthening that took place. Zonal Director, Christ Embassy Port Harcourt Zone 3 Pastor Joy Amenkhienan anchored this session. On set, she was joined by Pastor Biodun Lawal; Zonal Director, Christ Embassy, Accra Ghana Zone, Pastor Lanre Alabi; Director, Church Growth International (CGI), Pastor Femi Otenigbagbe; Zonal Director, Christ Embassy Lagos Zone 3, and Pastor Moses Olayemi; Christ Embassy Benin Zone 1.
While each senior pastor graciously shared scriptures and lead specific prayer points, the atmosphere began to shift and the presence of God was felt by all. The many prayers of LoveWorld citizens through the month of June were received unto God as effective and full of faith. Pastor Biodun Lawal reminded us that our prayers are powerful and necessary in the world. He read from 2 Corinthians 1:9-11, reminding all that He alone is the One to answer the prayers of many.
DAY 2
SESSION 1 Thursday 4, July 2019 at 11 am GMT+1
Day 2 of this special prayer event was even more glorious after the previous evening of affirmations and inspiring teaching. The morning began with a powerful group, anchored by a member of LoveWorld Central Executive Council, and Pastor of Christ Embassy Warri Ministry Center; Evangelist (Dr.) Eddy Owase. He was joined by Central Executive Council (CEC), and Pastor of CE Abeokuta Ministry Center; Pastor Tuoyo Edun.
Together with Pastor Ifeoma Chiemeka; Director of Programs, Pastor Amaechi Udeaku; Zonal Director, CE Port Harcourt Zone 1, and Pastor Chike Ume; LoveWorld Campus Ministry Director the Word of God was spoken and all joined to pray. As the room postured themselves to receive, the Holy Spirit came upon the leaders and began praying against all forms of injustice, “declaring peace, progress, prosperity, and stability for the furtherance of God’s kingdom.”
“Young people all around the world, were also specially prayed for, to be shielded from all evil, and wicked devices of the enemy. Other prayer points were read out, and the global audience prayed earnestly.”
SESSION 2 Thursday 4, July 2019 at 5 pm GMT+1
Leading the 2nd session of day 2 was CEO of LoveWorld Inc, the highly respected Pastor Deola Phillips. Accompanying Pastor Deola on set were other senior pastors leading various sessions of intercession and teaching. The event was enriching and challenging as it stirred everyone’s spirit to earnestly seek God and to intercede on behalf of others. A time for prayer over the challenges and tragedies that neighboring nations are facing was brought to the forefront and attention of all in participation.
The work and help of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has stretched far beyond what many have ever witnessed before throughout the region. The Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International (COFI) is busy year-round responding to the issues and needs in the direst of circumstances. While there is great physical assistance provided through COFI, Director of Calabar Ministry Center, Pastor Vale Odu-Thomas, described the greatest means to all the impact we can make in the world is prayer. He reminded listeners that a praying person cannot be a hopeless person. What a wonderful reminder!
The day, which was widely celebrated as the day of Independence for the United States of America and citizens all over the world, served as the perfect opportunity to bless America with the fervent prayers coming forth from this event. Pastors at both Session 1 and 2 of Day 2 lead prayers of blessing and protection over the United States of America.
Along with incredible worship and song ministrations, led by worship leaders and the on-set choir, the first 2 days of this event were powerful and full of the Holy Spirit.
