0Pastor Chris announces Global Day of Prayer in September
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is scheduled to host another Global Day of Prayer from Friday, September 24th to Saturday, September 25th.
The Christ Embassy president broke the news during his “Your LoveWorld Praise-A-Thon” week, which concluded on Friday, August 27th.
It was a five-day event with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Pastor Benny Hinn, Bishop James Payne, Bishop Clarence McClendon, Pastor Richard Roberts, Dr. Mike Smalley and Evangelist John Avanzini.
The pastors all ministered live every day to believers around the world.
Pastor Benny Hinn was among the speakers on the first day of the “Your LoveWorld Praise-A-Thon.”
“We are here. We are not here for any other reason except one: Because we adore and love Jesus. That is it. That is the only reason we are here because He is all in all to us,” he stated.
“This is Praise-A-Thon. It is praise, not tell, Praise-A-Thon. We want to praise the Lord, and God will do the rest. So, I want you to focus on Jesus, just place your eyes on Jesus. That is all we have to do,” he added.
Other ministers thank Pastor Chris
On the first day, Dr. Mike Smalley went on stage with Bishop James Payne and Pastor Ose Oyakhilome, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s sister-in-law.
“What a day it is to serve Jesus Christ, to represent Him on the Earth, and it is a bad day for the devil. It is going to be a bad week for the devil because of what is happening in the family of God through LoveWorld. I am so thrilled to be here today, I am so excited. Thank you, Bishop Payne, thank you, Pastor Ose, what a privilege to always be here physically with the two of you,” Dr. Mike Smalley said.
“And to our great man of God, Pastor Chris, in Nigeria. Thank you so much for the honor of being here today and being part of the LoveWorld Ministry, team, family. It is a joy, it is a privilege. Thank you so much for all that you do around the world. You inspire us to share the gospel of the Lord, Jesus Christ. We do not take it lightly. We are honored. We are with you,” he added.
Pastor Chris: “You are going to give attention to prayer”
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s most recent Global Day of Prayer took place on Friday, June 25th.
“We give praise to God for the opportunity that He has given us to serve Him in these days. These closing days for the church age,” he said as he opened the event.
“We have many sets of the gospel that will be leading us in prayer and sharing briefly God’s word with us. To encourage us, enlighten us, inform us, to bless us. He does in prayer,” Pastor Chris Oyakhilome added and continued:
“You are going to pray. You are going to give attention to prayer. We have to do it. Jesus taught that men ought always to pray. The deception that is in the world today is what the Bible told us about already.”
The Global Day of Prayer lasted 24 hours and had not only Pastor Chris Oyakhilome ministering, but also Pastor Benny Hinn.
Third Global Day of Prayer this year
The upcoming Global Day of Prayer will be Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s third one this year.
The first one took place in March – exactly a year after his first Global Day of Prayer ever.
“A year ago, precisely on the 27th of the month of March, 2020, Pastor Benny Hinn and I led a global prayer meeting because we realized that what was happening in the world, and nations had been seized, gripped with fear and did not know where to turn,” Pastor Chris Oyakhilome said.
“They had no idea what was going on. Families were afraid, men and women were afraid, children were afraid, governments were afraid, and some government leaders called it an unknown enemy. They said, ‘how can we fight this unknown enemy?’ Well, at the time when we called for that prayer program, ministers around the world joined us by the millions,” he stated and added:
“God’s people all over the world joined us from so many churches and ministries around the world, including groups that often did not speak to each other, but there was a unity of spirit that we all experienced. 27th of March 2020. And because we prayed, the spirit of God gave us guidance.”
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome initiated the first Global Day of Prayer in March 2020 as a response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Subsequently, he started doing weekly “Your LoveWorld with Pastor Chris” sessions. That program still runs to this day.
