0Pastor Chris: “The joy of the Lord is my strength”
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome says that people should begin affirming to themselves this way: “I affirm that the Lord is the portion of my inheritance; therefore, I am made forever. I am strengthened with all might by the Holy Spirit.”
He says that people should believe that they can do all things through Christ.
“I am ever-strong and alive, for the joy of the Lord is my strength. The Spirit of God beautifies my life; for I am the workmanship of God in Christ Jesus, created unto good works,” Pastor Chris Oyakhilome states.
The Christ Embassy founder tells people to declare to the world: “I am alive; I have passed from death to life; sin and all its rudiments have no power over me.”
He explains that believers are students of the word. The Spirit of the Lord teaches them to look beyond present moments and connect everything they do here on earth to eternity.
“My choices and decisions concerning my family, job and everything else about my life are founded on the word. I am always full of God’s might, led and guided by the Spirit,” Pastor Chris Oyakhilome further says.
“I function by His power and glory today, full of the Spirit in wisdom, having a deep spiritual understanding of all things,” he continues.
Living in the victory of Christ according to Pastor Chris
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome goes through Romans 8:35-37, which says: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ. Shall tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril or sword? As it is written: For thy sake, we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us”.
In that quote, the pastor explains that life may be filled with adversities, but the word says you are more than a conqueror through Christ. This should give you comfort, peace and joy – that is why you are living in the victory of Christ.
As the Bible says in 1 John 4:4: “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. You have been lifted over and above the corrupting influences of this world.
In the opening scripture, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome says that it clearly states that tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril nor sword can separate people from the love of God.
Finally, it concludes that people are more than conquerors. In order to be more than a conqueror, they must have conquered Christ before the foundation of the world.
