Pastor Chris: “The Spirit in you is life-generating”

A while ago, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome spoke about the importance of understanding one’s internal self-healing mechanisms.

Firstly, he explained that the church has a self-healing mechanism.

“What the church received is eternal life. Eternal life does not need healing,” he explained.

“Eternal life is the God-life, the very essence of divinity. A life that is ‘uninfectable,’ untainted with sickness, disease and infirmities,” he added.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome then went on to explain that if you have eternal life, it does not matter what trouble you may have in your body. If you would stir up the gift of God, the life of God in your spirit, your whole body will be vitalized.

“If the spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead lives in you, He will vitalize your mortal body. The Spirit in you is life-generating,” he stated.

Ahead of the Healing Streams: “Jesus never needed healing”

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome then went on to quote from 1 Corinthians 15:45 in order to further make his point. It says: “And so it is written. The first man, Adam, was made a living soul. The last Adam was made a quickening spirit.”

The pastor explained that people were not born after the first Adam. They were born after the second Adam, Jesus Christ.

“Jesus never needed healing, and as He is, so are we in this world,” Pastor Chris Oyakhilome said.

“You have a life-giving Spirit resident in you. You were given a life that is greater than healing. As long as you are a babe in Christ, you will not need healing,” he explained.

The pastor then elaborated on the fact that the Bible calls healing the bread of children.

“When you come to maturity, you will give up childish things. You would not be seeking healing,” he said.

Rather, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome instructed all believers to say: “I have got the life of God in me. Therefore, I will never be sick.”
