0Here are the winners of LIMA 2020
Last week, the LoveWorld Ministry’s annual music award show, LIMA Awards, kicked off with live performances and prize-giving.
Let us take a look at 2020’s LIMA Awards winners below:
Producer of the Year: Kelly Leon
For the fourth time ever, Kelly Leon could take home the award for Producer of the Year.
Theme Song of the Year: Tru South – “People in Prison”
The gospel rapper Tru South, who is a member of the Rap Nation crew, claimed the award for Theme Song of the Year.
Male Vocalist of the Year: Eben
Eben, who leads several worship and praise sessions, won the Male Vocalist of the Year award.
Female Vocalist of the Year: Sophiya
The gospel singer Sophiya took home the Female Vocalist of the Year award.
Worship Song of the Year: Chookar – “I Rejoice”
Chookar’s Spirit-filled song “I Rejoice” was named the winner of Worship Song of the Year. “I Rejoice” is also featured on LIMA Awards’ list of the Best Song of 2020.
Artist of the Year: Sophiya
Sophiya, who was named the Female Vocalist of the Year, also claimed the Artist of the Year. The singer has been on almost all of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s “Your LoveWorld with Pastor Chris” this year and has also been singing at several other Christ Embassy events.
Video of the Year: Joe Praize – “God Alone”
The LoveWorld veteran Joe Praize took home the award for Video of the Year for his video to his hit “God Alone.”
Hit Song of the Year: Sophiya – “Able God”
Sophiya was one of LIMA’s biggest winners, taking home three awards. One of them was for Hit Song of the Year where her track “Able God” beat Joe Praize’s “God Alone” and Israel Strong’s “Good to Me.”
LIMA Song of the Year: Moses Bliss – “You I Live For”
Moses Bliss’s “You I Live For” was named the LIMA Song of the Year.
Songwriter of the Year: Eben
The worship leader Eben, who won the award for Male Vocalist of the Year,” also claimed the award for Songwriter of the Year.
Spoken Word Artist of the Year (Junior Category): Sophia
Young Sophia won the Spoken Word Artist of the Year in the junior category.
Spoken Word Artist of the Year (Senior Category): Pastor Esther Miracle
Pastor Esther Miracle claimed the award for Spoken Word Artist of the Year in the senior category.
Best Rendition: Eli-J and Divine
The two singers tied in the category Best Rendition.
Best Act/Dance Performance Award (Junior Category): The InnerCity Mission kids
The InnerCity Mission kids took home the award for Best Act/Dance Performance Award.
Best Dance Act of the Year (Senior Category): KMK
The artist KMK won the Best Dance Act of the Year in the senior category.
Hit Rap Song of the Year: Se_Oke – “Get High”
The rapper Se_Oke won his first LIMA award when he was declared the winner of the Hit Rap Song of the Year award for his song “Get High.”
