0Pastor Chris: “Christ is your righteousness”
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome recently suggested going through the Bible verse which says:
“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.” (1 Corinthians 1:30)
The pastor explained that the verse is one of the most powerful truths revealed in the word of God.
“Your righteousness is the righteousness of Jesus Christ. You did not earn it. You were born with it when you were born into Christ,” Pastor Chris Oyakhilome elaborated.
He then added: “Something powerful that the righteousness of God does in and for you is that it makes you a master. Righteousness-consciousness gives you dominion in life and over circumstances.”
The pastor then spoke about the prophet Isaiah, who revealed this subject matter when he said in Isaiah 54:17: “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.”
The pastor explained that your righteousness is of the Lord. This is what Paul referred to in Philippians 3:9, when he said: “And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ. The righteousness which is of God by faith.”
The Christ Embassy founder then instructed believers every so often to boldly declare, “Christ is my righteousness.”
Pastor Chris: “You are as righteous as Jesus is righteous since He is your righteousness”
In addition, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome also reminded people to never allow Satan to deceive them into believing that they are not righteous enough for God’s blessings.
“You are as righteous as Jesus is righteous since He is your righteousness. It is His righteousness that matters, and that is what you have,” the pastor clarified.
He then instructed believers to once again thank God for the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
“Jesus is the blessing of God and a gift to all men,” he stated.
In Romans 5:17, it says, “For if by one man’s offense death reigned by one, much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.”
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome then explained that believers have been justified freely in Christ Jesus (as it also says in Romans 3:24), with His life and nature of righteousness in their spirit.
“Now, you can boldly fellowship with God in love without a sense of guilt, condemnation or inferiority,” he declared.
