0Pastor Chris to present theme of February at Global Communion Service
The first month of 2022, the Year of the Gathering Clouds, is coming to an end, and it means that Pastor Chris Oyakhilome will soon present a new theme of the month.
February’s theme will be revealed by the pastor at the Global Communion Service on Sunday, February 6th at 4 PM GMT+1.
The event will be aired on all LoveWorld tv channels and digital platforms.
Along with the service, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is also slated to host a Praise Night.
The Christ Embassy leader names every year and month, and February will be the first month of 2022 to receive a theme.
Last year, the pastor led his congregation through January – the Month of Celebration, February – the Month of Grace, March – the Month of Change, April – the Month of Truth, May – the Month of Illumination, June – the Month of Prayer, July – the Month of Joy, August – the Month of Praise, September – the Month of Visualization, October – the Month of Visualization, November – the Month to Watch and Pray and December – the Month of Thanksgiving.
They made up 2021, the Year of Preparation.
Pastor Chris: “This is the year for these gathering clouds to fulfill their purpose”
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome marked the beginning of a new year at his annual New Year’s Eve Service on Friday, December 31st, 2021.
There, he presented 2022’s theme, the Year of the Gathering Clouds.
“2022 is the ‘Year of the Gathering Clouds.’ The clouds are gathering. This is the year for these gathering clouds to fulfill their purpose. You know, in these you have several gathering clouds. But my plan tonight is to tell you about the most important gathering clouds,” he said and added:
“There are gathering clouds of evil, I must say, and the Bible speaks of them. Gathering clouds of unrest. Gathering clouds of wickedness. Gathering clouds of war.”
“I told you several months back in 2021 about the polarization of the world. Many did not yet understand the significance of that, but if you understand that what is happening is not only the polarization within communities and homes, which was seen to a greater degree than ever before… Lots of divisions. But if you look at the geopolitics of the world, you will observe the gathering clouds,” Pastor Chris Oyakhilome explained.
Pastor Chris adds Praise Night
When Pastor Chris Oyakhilome presents the theme of February, he also holds a Praise Night. It is the second of its kind this year.
The first one took place on Sunday, January 16th.
There, the pastor explained the difference between honoring and praising God and men.
“When we honor God, we say that we glorify God. When we celebrate men, we do not say that we celebrate them. The terms are different. So, we can dance in celebration of men. We can clap, applaud in celebration of men. So, in a sense, what you are doing is that you are praising them for what they have done or represented. So, you are praising them in a sense. But when you praise God, you do not, say the same things. You offer thanksgiving,” he stated.
“You do not dance to God the way that you dance to men. It is not the same. You can dance to men in celebrating them. You can applaud them. You do not applaud God,” the Christ Embassy leader added.
Christ Embassy leader’s response to COVID-19
Earlier in January, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome also held the first phase of the fifth season of “Your LoveWorld with Pastor Chris.”
The show was initiated by the pastor in the spring of 2020. It was his response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The prayer series has become immensely popular among his followers all over the world and has, therefore, been extended over and over again.
During the most recent phase, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome asked the viewers to consider whether they belong to Jesus or to this world.
“The forces that are at play in this present hour are not having a game show. You have to make a decision whoever you are, wherever you are. You have to make a decision about where you really belong. Do you belong to Jesus, or do you belong to this world?” Pastor Chris Oyakhilome asked and continued:
“And by the way, when I say ‘world,’ I want you to know that I am talking about this world and its system. In referring to the world as the Earth, it belongs to Jesus, including every human being in it. Even though many of them are rebels, He owns them. Because according to the scriptures, He bought the whole field.”
The pastor then spoke of Jesus as the savior.
“He paid for everybody. He is the savior of the world, and He gave His life for every man. All that ever lived before Him – from Adam – and all who were to come after His death, burial and resurrection. He paid for the salvation of all,” he said.
