0Pastor Chris: “You are not an accident to the Lord”
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has indeed helped LoveWorld members start the year 2023 on the right foot. In this blessed year, “the Year of the Prolific Church,” believers must work on understanding God’s true intentions for their lives.
The president of Christ Embassy understands that people are here on this Earth on purpose, which is why he says that this year “the church shall spread throughout the Earth unhindered.”
He also added that through saying daily affirmations and reading the Bible, people will become more connected.
“God is the one who gave you to your parents”
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome explained his view on this matter by quoting the Bible.
“Jeremiah 1:4-5 NIV, ‘The word of the Lord, came to me, saying, before I formed you in the womb, I knew you before you were born, I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.’ God did not send you to discover what you will do or become.”
“Some people reason that God found them after their birth, but that is not correct. The Bible says: ‘Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward’ (Psalm 127:3 NASB), meaning that He is the One who gave you to your parents, not that your parents had you and then God found you. You were on His mind before He created this world; He knew everything about you, planned for you, and then chose to give you to your parents as a gift,” the pastor added.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome elaborated on this by saying: “To some measure, they are responsible for what happens to you, but as you grow up and develop, you become responsible for whatever choices you make and what you become.”
Pastor Chris: “God has a plan for your coming”
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome later continued by raising what may seem like a challenge to LoveWorld members.
“Perhaps no one reckons with you because you are the youngest amongst so many children, you look frail and fragile, and no one thinks highly about you,” he said and added:
“When these thoughts arise, just remember David, who was the ‘runt of the litter’ but became God’s chosen king of Israel, and Gideon, who was the least in the weakest tribe in Israel but was greatly used by God to liberate Israel from bondage.”
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome then repeated the message.
“You are not an accident. God has a plan for your coming. Romans 8:29 says, ‘For whom He did foreknow, He also did predesignate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.’ Furthermore, to whom He did predestine, He also called; to whom He called, He also justified; to whom He justified, He also glorified.”
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome then quoted another Bible verse.
“Isaiah 49:1 says, ‘Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The Lord hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.’ They said, ‘My heavenly Father, thank you for your word today.’”
The pastor then said that believers should affirm to themselves again and again.
“My life is not an accident, and I am not a child of chance. I live a fruitful life, fulfilling the purpose to which I was born and called. Nobody and no force can stop me because I am functioning in the power of the Holy Spirit.”
