0The uplifting Praise Night event with Pastor Chris marks its 15th edition
The incredible man of God, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, hosted the 15th edition of the “Praise Night” event.
After the June edition of the Global Communion Service in which this Month was named the Month of Prayer and Praise, believers all around the world were anticipating the exceptional Praise Night.
The head of Loveworld Inc. Has left an incredible impact on so many people globally who tuned in on that incredible night. It was an unforgettable and soul-stirring event that left attendees uplifted and inspired.
Pastor Chris: “Without the knowledge of God, you cannot worship him accurately”
During his sermon, the man of God explained that God can only be praised according to his will and words.
He said, “To say you will praise God in your own way is not right, it is dangerous in fact. There is the Truth of God. Without the knowledge of God, you cannot worship him accurately.”
“I explain again and again to all believers that you cannot just worship God to your own satisfaction. It takes the insight of the recreated person to thank him properly,” added Pastor Chris.
He then went on to explain that in the Old Testament, there were things that God would not accept. In the New Testament, you must find out what he accepts and what he will not accept. You cannot worship him with your flesh.
There are many worship songs in which there is praise for the Lord. Pastor Chris clarifies that we should not be deceived by the fact that the name of Jesus is put in a song. That is not what makes the New Testament.
“There were other people called Jesus in the Old Testament, it was common,” the man of God said. “Eventually, it is what is behind that name that matters – the meaning behind that name.”
The man of miracles then explained that when you do sing the right songs from the New Testament, you will be offering the real spiritual sacrifices that he asked for. All this calls for knowledge and maturity for the Church.
“There are higher levels of these revelations of truth. By rejoicing with the Lord, we will enter into much greater revelations of His praise,” Pastor Chris concluded.
“Our heart and our attitude are significant factors for praising God properly”
The man of God took the time to go through a bible verse from 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV) which says:
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;
In order to clarify the message even more, The Pastor went on to compare the King James version of that verse to the Amplified version (AMPC).
It says, “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
And so, the man of God explains that you learn here that in real praise you praise God with understanding. This will bring you to a level in the manifestation of the spirit of God; a manifestation in the kingdom of God in you. These things that we talk about in the songs will in the end rise our spirits.
